BIO:

A Colombian born artist that has dedicated his life to bringing his music and philosophy to the mass audience. Juan Marcos Percy Ruiz was born in Cali, Colombia, but after a short stay in the city of Cali, he was relocated to the city of Popayan. It was there were he lived the first years of his life. As destiny would have it and in a middle of a "Can’t I just stay here" he was taken from Colombia on a grand new adventure to the country called U.S.A. It was here were Juan Marcos became part of a growing movement called Spanish Rock. During his stay in the U.S. Juan Marcos has taken part in various bands, these bands include: Americana, Mofo And VoS. Each of these bands have helped to shape the Spanish Rock movement in Miami. Currently Juan Marcos has been dedicating all of his time helping bring to life the character known as Juanito Perez.

IN A FEW WORDS:

Well, I was supposed to stick to a few words…..yeah I can see that didn’t happen…First of all I would like to thank all of those people that have helped me to get to where I am today. I never thought it could be possible to win 12 Grammy’s in one night, but as you can see stranger things have happened. Well like I was saying, this might take a little while so bear with me. I want to take this opportunity to show my appreciation to those people that mean so much in my life. First and foremost I want to thank you, and those of you that have shared in my struggles and my successes. It hasn't been easy but its definitely being interesting. I also want to thank my parents Domingo Alonso Percy and Eva Liliana Percy for giving me the love, direction and discipline that I have needed and continue to need in my life. I want to thank my sister Liliana Maria Percy for being the person that has given meaning to my life, to the one and only, beautiful, intelligent, Marta Alicia Canaan, Thank you for finding my other half, to my old friend Mao, thank you for being my inspiration, I’ve always said the world against Mao, if he can do it then I have nothing to complain about, to Emilio (The Nicaraguan Superhero), Jonathan (The most handsome drummer this side of the border), Jimmy (The guitar player that breaks hearts), Pedro (The greatest thing to have come out of Cuba), El Queso (Beauty and the beast), Brothers thank you for sharing your lives with me. David, Americana is always in my heart, Andres, Olga, Jenny, Freddy, Esperanza, Lorenzo you are the best example of the word love, Eliza, the most wonderful smile in the world, Dianita 0-Matic, a love potion, her brother lucho (Tell him to sing El Rio to you) the first fans of Juanito, to all of the wonderful people that make part of the Congregaciones Cruzada, thank you for your prayers. I know im forgetting someone...well, to all of those people i forgot, sorry, ill remember you next time.
